LS Art Associate Teacher (one year)

The Packer Collegiate Institute seeks a collaborative and creative Associate Teacher to support our Lower School Art program for the 2025-26 school year.
The LS Art Associate Teacher is regarded as a teacher-in-training whose role grows as they gain experience and knowledge. Working closely with the Lower School Art Teacher to create an inclusive and stimulating learning community for students in Grades 1-4, the LS Art Associate Teacher works within an apprenticeship model - planning and preparing collaboratively, supporting small group or whole class lessons, as well as assessing and documenting student learning
Candidates should possess a proven commitment to the arts and a passion for working with young children, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching. Experience in a school setting is preferred. The LS Art Associate Teacher position is a one-year position for the 2025/26 school year.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, and working towards an advanced degree in education is preferred.

Salaries are determined based on a scale reflecting years of teaching experience and level of education.
